Equipment needed:
- Wig
- Wig
block
- Galoon
- T
pins
- Wooden
rollers
How to:
- Begin
by placing your wig on the wig block
- Use
some galoon to hold the wig in place à
cut a strip long enough to go around the whole wig, making sure that there is
an equal amount to go around the hair
- Start
pinning the galoon to the front lace of the wig, starting in the middle
- Follow
the hairline all the way around with an equal gap between the hairline and the
galoon
NOTE:
Be sure to keep the lace flat and the pins close together
- If
the wig is too loose on the wig block, pull it flat and pin at the back with
some T pins
- Start
and the bottom of the hair and work your way up with the rollers
REMEMBER:
Keep the sections clean, as hair can be pulled on from other sections
- Begin
with the roller at the top of the section of hair and roll it down the hair
towards the block, ensuring to keep the rollers tight and sit them on the
section that you created
- Roll
the hair in the direction that you want it to sit and then use a T pin to
secure the roller in the hair
NOTE:
You can wet the hair before putting the rollers in, ensuring you wet a section
at a time
- If
you use wooden rollers, you can then put the wig and wig block in the wig oven
to heat it and set it
Evaluation:
I enjoyed this task but feel that I am not very
good at roller work. I find it difficult
to keep the hair tight to the rollers and to keep all the hair on the
rollers. It is something that I
definitely need to practice some more.
